When Joseph contacted me about his wedding to Olya, it was right around the corner. I have always wanted to photograph an elopement. The intimate nature of an elopement tells a narrative that is free from distraction and excess, focusing on the two becoming one. Walking into a space where the only previous contact I had were a handful of emails, I was eager to meet the couple and know their story better. Upon meeting Joseph, he was kind and his eyes showed an excitement that was full of joy and anticipation. I then met Olya and their 8 week old baby girl! Joseph helped with Zoya, while his bride continued to get ready.
Joseph and Olya's First Look was so sweet. He was so giddy, and Olya was stunning in her handmade dress from her home country of Russia. They are so romantic and in love, and watching them together was beautiful.
After the First Look and some portraits, it was time to get Zoya in her dress for the ceremony.
